Glenice F. Bryant, of Whitefield, passed away on April 24 at the MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta. She was born in Pittston on Aug. 23, 1918, the daughter of Flosie Ethel Moody and Lester L. Felt.
She attended Whitefield schools and graduated from Gardiner High School in 1936. She also graduated from Kennebec School of Commerce and Gates Business School.
She married Louis E. Bryant of Gardiner in 1940 and while he was in the Navy during WWII, she worked for the federal government at Camp Langdon, New Castle, N.H.
Louis passed away in 1993. They had one son, David S. Bryant.
Glenice retired from State service in 1975, after working 35 years for federal and state government.
She was a life member of the Marion Chapter OES 63, Maine State Employees Association and AARP.
Glenice enjoyed being on the beaches and lobsters.
Survivors include her son, David S. Bryant and wife Nancy of Whitefield; brother, Lawrence L. Felt of Whitefield; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
At Glenice’s request there will be no visiting hours. Services will be announced at a later date.
