Gloria Maybelle Genthner, 78, of Friendship, passed away Dec. 17 at Lucette’s Boarding Home in Thomaston. Gloria was born May 17, 1933 in Friendship, the daughter of Llewellyn and Ruth Yattaw.
She went to Friendship Grammar School and graduated from Waldoboro High School in 1951. She worked a few years at Sylvania (GTE), and then as a housewife. She enjoyed going to lawn sales with her mother Ruth and having her own lawn sales. She enjoyed listening to old time music.
She was predeceased by father, Llewellyn Yattaw; mother, Ruth Richardson; and brother, Frank Yattaw.
She is survived by her brother, Llewellyn Yattaw Jr. and wife Cynthia of Friendship; two aunts; niece; and several nephews and several cousins.
Graveside services will be in the spring at Roadside Cemetery in Friendship.
