Goldie Mae Cunningham, 100, of Jefferson, died July 30 at LincolnHealth – Miles Campus, Damariscotta, following a brief illness. She was born in Hallowell on Nov. 24, 1913, a daughter of the late Eben and Alice (James) Boynton.
Mrs. Cunningham was a member of South Somerville Baptist Church.
She was a homemaker for most of her life and had been employed by Gardiner Shoe for several years.
Mrs. Cunningham was predeceased by her husband, Stanley O. Cunningham; brothers, Otis Patterson, and James Boynton; sisters, Effie Cooper, and Everald Teed; and grandson, Lance Cunningham.
She is survived by sons, Dewayne Cunningham and wife Sandra of Gardiner, Ronald Cunningham and wife Jeanne of Pittston, Rodney Cunningham and wife Leda of Windsor, Roger Cunningham and wife Sarah of Windsor, and Carroll Cunningham and wife Patricia of Jefferson; daughters, Kathleen Giroux and husband Jim of Jefferson, Lynnette Bailey and husband Gary of Cape Coral, Fla., and Charlene Cunningham and husband Jim Raymond of Windsor; 20 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visiting hours are from 2-4 p.m., Sun., Aug. 3 at Plummer Funeral Home, Windsor Chapel, 983 Ridge Rd., Rt. 32, Windsor. A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial and committal prayers will take place in Rest Haven Cemetery, Rt. 32, Windsor.
