Grace M. Wellman, 88, passed away on April 17, 2019 at her home in Waldoboro with her loving family by her side. Grace was born to parents Harold L. Nash and Mary E. Jenkins on Sept. 9, 1930 in Waldoboro.
Grace loved to attend the area Bingo games with her longtime companion Ted and spent many evenings going to them. Grace also loved to do all day shopping trips with her daughters and she could still keep up with them prior to her death.
Grace was predeceased by her parents; a daughter, Linda Wellman Miller; her sisters, Lillian Nash Lindsey and Dolores Higgins Drinkwater; her brother, Harold Nash, Jr.; and baby sister, Marilyn Nash.
Left to cherish her memory is her longtime companion, Theodore Sherman of Waldoboro, her children, Dana Wellman (Christine) of Turner, Nancy Wellman Carter (Raymond) of Waldoboro, Karen Wellman and fiance Henry Schmidt of Waldoboro, Larry Wellman (Kimberly) of Waldoboro, Diane Wellman Winchenbach (Thomas) of Friendship, and Bruce Sullivan of Illinois; and a step-son, Robert Wellman (Shirlene) of Norridgewock.
Grace is also survived by her grandchildren, James Millay, Sarah Wellman, Emily Bilodeau, Hannah Wellman, Molly Wellman, Abby Wellman, Otto Miller, John Miller, Scott Carter, Troy Carter, Amy Wyllie, Larry Wellman Jr., Jennifer Barnard, Jimmy Wellman, MaKenzie Wellman, Zachary Wellman, Daniel Winchenbach, and Joshua Winchenbach; along with 28 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
A memorial service for Grace will be held on Friday, April 26 at 1 p.m. at Hall Funeral Home, 949 Main St., Waldoboro with Pastor Tom Rawley officiating. Private family burial will be held at a later date.
