Gwendolyn F. Dowling, 98, of Wiscasset, died Sept. 30 at Cove’s Edge in Damariscotta.
She was born Sept. 10, 1912 in Eustis, the daughter of Alphonse and Ida Dion.
Gwen enjoyed pastry cooking, animals, sewing, woodworking and working in garden.
She worked as a pastry cook at the Dodge Inn for over 25 years and later for the Cheechako Inn for many years.
Gwen was predeceased by her husband Joseph Dowling; sons, Theodore Dowling and James Dowling; and son-in-law, Ron Demeny.
She is survived by daughters, Natalie Demeny of Wiscasset, Jane Oaks and husband Larry of Boothbay, Donna Peddle and husband Duncan of Topsham; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Graveside service 1 p.m., Sat., Oct. 23 at Greenlawn Cemetery in Wiscasset.
