Heidi L. Waning, 54, of Waldoboro, died unexpectedly Aug. 25 at her home of heart complications due to high blood pressure. Heidi had her CRMA (Certification in Risk Management Assurance) working at Progressive Housing, and was a chef at many restaurants in the Mid-Coast Maine area for over 35 years.
Heidi loved animals, especially rescuing and rehabilitating them, cooking, but most of all, her family.
She is predeceased by her companion of over 30 years, Jack Kenefick; and parents, Marjorie and Sherman Waning.
Heidi is survived by loving children, Megan Davis of Elizabeth, N.J., Brandon Davis of Waldoboro, Shekara Davis of Waldoboro, and Maggie Davis of Washington; cherished grandchildren, Dylan Favreau of Elizabeth, N.J., and Mariah Cooley of Washington; and dear siblings, Debra Bootier of Augusta, Joyce Waning-Buke of Winthrop, and Rorey Waning of Waterville.
