Helen Edith Hall passed away Aug. 28 at Maine General Medical Center in Augusta with her family by her side. She was born in Washington, the daughter of Maynard and Edith Austin Hall, on Jan. 20, 1943. She was raised in Washington and attended school in the one room school house in town. After marrying her husband Kenneth N. Hall, Sr. the two made their home in Rockland and then Augusta.
She was a very caring person as was apparent to everyone who came in contact with her. She was a loving mother to her four children and her work as a CNA at both the Rockland and Camden convalescent homes showed her love for people. She loved spending time with her family and friends and she enjoyed picking on people especially her two sons-in-law. She enjoyed cooking and crocheting. Her children remember her as a joker and someone who loved to have a good time. She loved to play Beano, especially her weekly Friday night game with friends. Helen was very fond of her monthly lunch dates with her cousin Barbara.
She was predeceased by her loving husband of 45 years, Kenneth Neal Hall, Sr.
Survivors include her daughters, Amy Grierson and husband Dean of Waldoboro, Sue Luce and husband Larry of Union, and Rose Hall of Belgrade; son, Kenny Hall and wife Jenny of Houlton; grandchildren, Crystal Woodcock of Rockland, Stacy Hall of Houlton, Kristina Hall of Jefferson, Kendra Swails who Helen raised of Augusta, Whitney Hall of Clinton, Jesse Grierson of Waldoboro, Daniel Hall of Augusta, Brittany Grierson of Waldoboro, Jamie Luce of Union, and Cody Luce of Union; and seven great-grandchildren.
Private family service will be held to honor Helen’s life at the Ash Point Cemetery in Owls Head.
