Hrehory Zub, 74, of Whitefield, passed away Nov. 9 at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.
He was born in Poland on April 15, 1932, a son of Jurko and Maria Vegas Zub.
Hrehory was a hard-working and honest man. He was a very good mechanic and also worked in the construction field.
He loved his wife Nadia very much and missed her since her death on March 16, 2004. Hrehory was a God-fearing man.
He is survived by his son, Alexander Kalcenko of Flushing, N.Y.; sister, Ana Ortiz and husband Hector of Brooklyn, N.Y.; nieces, Irene Vitor of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Elizabeth Colon of Staten Island, N.Y.
Graveside service was held at the Riverside Cemetery in Pittston on Nov. 12.
Arrangements are entrusted to Staples Funeral Home, 53 Brunswick Ave., Gardiner.
