Isabel L. Crocker, 83, of Wiscasset, passed away July 16 at a Brunswick hospital.
She was born in Wiscasset on Oct. 29, 1923, a daughter of Irving and Abbie (Grover) Lewis.
She attended Wiscasset schools and graduated from Wiscasset Academy in 1941.
On Aug. 28, 1942, she married Chester Crocker.
She was a member of the Woolwich-Wiscasset Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school.
She enjoyed spending time with family, attending their sporting events, cooking, and gardening and was an avid bowler.
She was predeceased by grandson, David A. Crocker, on Aug. 5, 1988.
She is survived by her husband, Chester Crocker of Wiscasset; sons, John R. Crocker of Bath, Robert A. Crocker and wife Nancy M. of Washington, Mass., and Dennis L. Crocker and wife Marilyn R. of W ells; daughter, Sherry L. Franklin and husband Stewart A. of Cape Cod, Mass.; brother, David Lewis of Providence, R.I.; sisters, Gloria Hannah of Providence, R.I., and Alice Brewer of Boothbay Harbor; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours 5-7 p.m., Thurs., July 19 at Mayo & Daigle Funeral Home, 40 Federal St., Wiscasset.
Funeral at 1 p.m., Fri., July 20 at the Woolwich-Wiscasset Baptist Church in Woolwich, with Pastor Roger Blundell officiating.
Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Wiscasset.
Gathering of family and friends will follow at the Wiscasset Community Center.
