Jacqueline E. Cronk Bailey, of 108 Old Dresden Road in Wiscasset, passed away on March 14 at age 76. Jackie was born in Boothbay Harbor on Nov. 14, 1947 to Wilford S. and Verne C. Farmer Cronk, the eldest of four children.
She was a lifelong resident of Wiscasset where she met the love of her life, Bill Bailey. Bill was a Hall of Fame driver (dirty 30) at the Wiscasset Speedway where she worked to support the family business.
She was a loving wife, daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and aunt as well as a loyal friend to all who knew her. Other than family her greatest passion was animals of all kinds especially horses, dogs, and cats. She is predeceased by her husband; first grandson, Douglas; parents; and sister; as well as her lifelong best friend, Diane Blake.
She is survived by her two brothers; son; daughter; and two grandsons; as well as many nieces and nephews, including her namesake, Jacqueline Martin Cronk.
Jackie was a mother to many and a true friend to all who were fortunate enough to have known her. She will be missed dearly and never forgotten.
There will be a celebration of life this summer, date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to an animal charity of your choice as she was always devoted to the love and care of animals.
Rest in peace Jackie.
