James C. Johnson, 24, of Pemaquid, passed away on the evening of July 1 at his home. The son of Carlton C. & Debbie (Stover) Johnson, he was born in Rockport, April 6, 1982.
He attended Rockland public schools and after coming to Pemaquid, continued in the Bristol Schools. For nearly 10 years, James worked as a landscaper, a job he loved. He also worked for several years as a lobsterman.
He had a lifelong passion for hunting, fishing, cars and ATVs, but his greatest love was his children. James was a frequent visitor at Dee’s Variety in New Harbor, and as his family stated, it was his “favorite store.”
James leaves his parents, Carlton and Debbie; his wife, Angela (Olson) Johnson; children, Joseph Craig Johnson and Isabelle Johnson, all of Pemaquid; sister, Jackie Pomelow of South Bristol; his mother-in-law; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Service to honor James 11 a.m., Sat., July 8 at the chapel of Strong Funeral Home, 612 Main St., Damariscotta, with Rev. Ernest Farrar officiating.
The family asks that donations be made to the Joseph and Isabelle Johnson Trust Fund, 18 Foster Rd., Pemaquid, ME 04558.
