Jean A. Mortimer, 83, of Freeport, passed away Jan. 26 at Freeport Nursing Home in Freeport. She was born in Wiscasset on Feb. 14, 1927, the daughter of Bertram and Hazel (Blackman) Hutchins.
She was a homemaker all of her life and enjoyed raising her family. She attended First Congregational Church of Wiscasset.
She was predeceased by her husband Harold in 1995, son David Deahl and sister Ruth Stevens.
Survivors include her children, Jan Gamache and husband James of Dresden, Robert A. Deahl of Wiscasset and daughter-in-law Patricia Deahl of Las Vegas, Nev.; sister, Marilyn Vigneault of Wiscasset; grandchildren Leigh Spekke, Lynn Deahl and Jayson Mortimer; five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
There will be a private memorial service at the convenience of the family.
