Jeanette Sherman Coffin, 84, of Boothbay Harbor, died July 20 at St. Andrews Hospital after a brief stay.
She was born on Aug. 18, 1923 in Edgecomb, the daughter of Albert and Mary Campbell Sherman. She attended Edgecomb schools and finished her schooling upon graduation from North Yarmouth Academy.
She married her husband Stanley Coffin of Sebasco Estates in 1942. The couple made their home in Edgecomb and later at Bay Point in Georgetown, and then Boothbay Harbor. Jeannette spent her years as a homemaker.
She is predeceased by her husband Stanley Coffin and son Stanley Albert Coffin.
Survivors include her grandson, Greg Coffin of Ledyard, Conn.; granddaughter, Dawn Coffin of Enfield, Conn.; sister, Mildred Sherman Reid and husband Richard of Edgecomb; cousin, Edith Campbell Young of Portland, who she saw as a sister at heart; daughter-in-law, Claudia Plant Coffin of Edgecomb and Hodgdon Island in Boothbay; and several nieces and nephews.
Private burial will take place at the North Edgecomb Cemetery.
