Jeanne Frances Robison, 82, of Bath, formerly of Nobleboro, passed away on the morning of April 3 at Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick with her loving family by her side. Born in Winchendon, Mass. on Dec. 29, 1932, she was the daughter of Fred and Laura (Mattson) Wing.
Jeanne grew up in Fitchburg, Mass. and attended schools there before marrying Capt. Herbert Robison who served in the U.S. Army for 20 years, before going into military intelligence for another 20 years at Fort Meade in Maryland. Upon his retirement in 1989, the couple eventually moved to Maine and made their home here.
In her younger years, she was an avid horseback rider. More recently, she loved to travel, fish, and watch TV game shows and Judge Judy. She also enjoyed playing bingo, doing crossword puzzles, word searches and sudoku puzzles.
She liked to read the newspaper, loved animals, flowers and birds. She loved to cook for all of her family and friends, and was particularly fond of lobster and clams. She had a friendly manner and a keen sense of humor. She was always ready to help a friend in need and will be missed by all who knew her.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Herbert Robison; and grandson, Russell Michael Robison.
She is survived by her children, Laura McElwee and husband Jeff, Thomas “Tommy” Robison, Sherry Hood, Russell Robison and wife Becky, Regina Rinehart and significant other Richard Parada, Curtis Robison, and Anne Robison; grandchildren, Ronnie and Herbie Shirmacher, Walter and Wesley Robison, Krysta Rinehart, Daryl Kinder, and Jacob, Joshua and Leah Robison; great-grandchildren, Ian and Cheyenne Shirmacher, Kayden and Brayden Kinder, and Cooper Robison; sisters, Harriet and Lois, both of Massachusetts; as well as many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at the Waltz Cemetery in Nobleboro at a later date.
