Jeffrey C. Inman, 51, of Newcastle, passed away at his home on the morning of Nov. 19. Born on Jan. 11, 1962 in Greenville, he was the son of the late Carlton and Marie (Owens) Inman.
Jeff grew up in Greenville and attended schools there. Upon graduating from Greenville High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force where he served honorably. He loved the Greenville area, and truly enjoyed growing up there.
He was a carpenter by trade, and loved to build and fix things. He was a true “jack of all trades.” He enjoyed the outdoors and loved hunting, fishing and being on the lake in a boat.
He was a loving husband and father, and was the kind of person who would help anyone in need. One cold Maine day, he passed a homeless person standing on the median in the road. He noticed the man had no gloves, so he stopped his car, rolled down the window and handed the man the gloves off his hands. That is the true spirit of Jeffrey.
He is survived by wife, Vickie Inman of Newcastle; daughters, Sierra Inman, and Naomi Libby and husband Andrew; grandson, David Libby; and sisters, Penny, Pam and Patty.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Wed., Nov. 27 at the Strong-Hancock Funeral Home, 612 Main St., Damariscotta.
