Jeffrey Martin Clark, of Lawrence, Kan., died peacefully in his sleep on Dec. 6 at his home. Jeff, as his family and friends knew him, was born in Fort Knox, Ky. on Sept. 18, 1960 to 1/Lt. James and Barbara Clark.
He spent his early childhood in Germany; Fort Sill, Okla.; Fort Bliss, Tex.; Framingham, Mass.; Dugway, Ut.; Fort Leavenworth, Kan. and DeRidder, La. In 1975 the family moved to Waldoboro where he attended and graduated from Medomak Valley High School. He also attended the University of Maine at Farmington. He was directly involved with construction and architecture while working for the Portland Design Team in Portland. He attended Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture at Taliesin in Spring Green, Wis. and Scottsdale, Ariz. where he met his future wife Cathy Briel. They married in Friendship in June of 1990 and moved to Lawrence, Kan. where Cathy finished her education as an architect. Jeff was an independent businessman who owned several rental properties near the University of Kansas and was also an area home inspector.
Jeff is predeceased by his brother, David and mother, Barbara.
He is survived by his father, James of Waldoboro; sister, Gina of California; son, Alexander; and former wife, Cathy.
Funeral services 5:30 p.m., Tues., Dec. 14 at the Lawrence Free Methodist Church in Lawrence, Kan. and memorial service will be held in Maine at a later date.
