Jeffrey W. Pinkham, 53, died April 24 at Pinkham’s Auto Repair and Tires in Waldoboro as a result of a fire. Jeff was born April 9, 1962 in Waldoboro to Wayne and Arlene Mansfield Pinkham. Jeff grew up in Waldoboro and graduated from Medomak Valley High School in the class of 1980. He graduated from S.M.V.T.I. in 1982.
Jeff worked alongside his dad, Wayne Pinkham, for many years at the Corner Exxon Station in Waldoboro. After Wayne retired, Jeff purchased the business and renamed it Pinkham’s Auto Repair and Tires. Jeff was well known throughout Lincoln County for providing quality work and had a loyal following of satisfied customers.
Jeff enjoyed hunting, fishing, family camping trips, being a grandfather and spending summers on Duck Puddle Pond. He was known as a hard working family man who would assist anyone who needed help. He was very fond of his faithful dog companion, Boomer. He will be sadly missed by his family, and the community of Waldoboro, where he lived all of his life.
He was predeceased by his sister, Laurie Ann Pinkham; maternal grandparents, Evelyn and Parker Burnett; paternal grandparents, Ervin and Barbara Pinkham; and aunts, Donna Thomas and Betty Fuller.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Lynda Bourret Pinkham of Waldoboro; parents, Wayne and Arlene Pinkham of Waldoboro and Lakeland, Fla.; daughters, Bethany Pinkham of Lubec, Jessica Bellows and husband David of So. Thomaston, and Kathryn Emery and husband Anthony of Liberty; son, Corporal Andrew Pinkham and wife Sarah of Iwakuni, Japan; sisters, Debora Richardson and husband Charles of Hope, and Karen Jewett and partner George Sodergren of Jefferson; granddaughter, Eliana Bellows of So. Thomaston; aunt, Sally Keene of Nashua, N.H.; uncle, Wayne Keene of Jefferson; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends that were a big part of his life.
All are welcome to join the family for a time of visitation 6-8 p.m., Fri., May 8 at Hall’s of Waldoboro, 949 Main St. in Waldoboro. A service to celebrate Jeff’s life will be held 10 a.m., Sat., May 9 at the First Baptist Church, 71 Grace Ave., Waldoboro. Pastor Jon Vermilion will officiate. Burial will follow in the Brookland Cemetery in Waldoboro. A time of sharing and remembrance will be held at the potluck reception at 4 p.m. at the Waldoboro VFW.
