Jene A. Sherman, 52, of Edgecomb, passed away at her home on the morning of March 5. Born on Sept. 9, 1966 in Rhode Island, she was the daughter of Joanne and Roland French.
Jene grew up in Rhode Island and graduated from Mount Pleasant High School. Jene enjoyed reading, crossword and word search puzzles, and watching true crime dramas. She worked in local restaurants such as the Market Cafe in Wiscasset, and her place of employment at the time of her passing, The Cracked Egg, also in Wiscasset. She enjoyed the camaraderie and the friendships she made throughout the years.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved grandmother and namesake, Jene A. Stone.
She is survived by brothers, Tom Sherman of Augusta, and Roland Sherman of Chamberlain; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
A celebration of Jene’s life will be announced at a later date.
