Jessie Morgan Ezzell, 19, of Wiscasset, died on June 6 in Jefferson.
He was born July 29, 1987 in Waterville, a son of James and Jannette Ezzell Fortin. He grew up in Wiscasset and attended local schools.
He worked at Machinery Service Company in Wiscasset as a welder and mechanic. This past year he was working as a sternman on a lobster boat.
Jessie loved to go hunting, fishing and camping. He enjoyed working on cars, and building and working on anything mechanical. He loved his family dearly.
Jessie is survived by his biological parents, James Fortin and Jannette Ezzell of Winslow; guardian parents, Kim Chapman and Dan Ezzell of Wiscasset; grandmothers, Virginia Ezzell of Wiscasset and Mamie Chapman of Dresden; grandfather, John Chapman of Dresden; brothers, Keith Hunter of Wiscasset and Jason Hunter of Newcastle; sisters, Carrie Ezzell Plourde, Danielle Ezzell, and Jackie Ezzell, all of Wiscasset; nieces, Keara Hunter, and Abigail Plourde, both of Wiscasset; nephews, Everett Hunter, Oliver Hunter, and Noah Plourde, all of Wiscasset; and several aunts and uncles.
Memorial service to celebrate Jessie’s life 11 a.m., Sat., June 9 at the Woolwich-Wiscasset Baptist Church, Rt. 1, Wiscasset. Pastor Chris Wilcoxson will officiate. Burial will follow at the Jackson Cemetery, West Alna Rd., Wiscasset.
