Joan B. Sutor, 77, of Waldoboro, died Jan. 16 at Maine Medical Center in Portland.
She was born Dec. 9, 1933 in Waterbury, Conn., a daughter of the late R. Glenn and Meta A. (Pope) Bunker.
Mrs. Sutor was a graduate of Wilby High School in Connecticut and the X-Ray Technician School at Waterbury Hospital where she worked several years as an x-ray technician. On Jan. 14, 1961 she married Donald Sutor in Waterbury, Conn.
She was a member of Damariscotta Baptist Church and enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, knitting, reading and was an avid bird watcher. She loved her family and her church family.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a brother Ralph Bunker.
Mrs. Sutor is survived by son, Jeffery Alan Sutor of Waldoboro; daughter, JoAnn Murphy and husband Sean of Southbury, Conn.; sister, Linda Bunker of Prospect, Conn.; nieces, Debra Stottlemeyer and Brenda Williams of Maryland; nephew, Scott Bunker of Maryland; sister-in-law, Hazel Sutor; aunt, Nancy Ciaramella of Prospect, Conn.; and grand-puppy, Barney.
Services will be announced at a later date.
Should friends so desire, donations may be made her memory to her family.
