Joan S. (DeRoiser) McLean, 77, of Nobleboro, passed away peacefully on June 15 at her home. She was the widow of Douglas “Doug” H. McLean.
She was born Aug. 23, 1932 in Nobleboro, a daughter of the late Harry and Blanche DeRoiser.
She worked tirelessly as a mother of three children: Cynthia, Stephen and Woodbury. Her employment outside of the home was at Winslows Mills Cannery, Waldoboro Button Factory and Dennison’s Nursing Home in Waldoboro. Joan enjoyed crafts, gardening and many pets.
Joan is survived by her children Cynthia Fales of Damariscotta, Stephen McLean and wife Juanita of Waldoboro and Woodbury McLean and wife Yvonne of Nobleboro; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
