A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Wed., Sept. 12 for Joanna Light Berticelli and her daughter Johna Jean Berticelli at the Bristol Mills Cemetery, Bristol, at the Light family lot.
Joanna was born in Bristol to the late Harold and Gladys (Sidelinger) Light on April 16, 1936. She lived her early years in Wiscasset and attended Wiscasset schools. She played sports and was a cheerleader. She loved to play the piano and loved music. In the early ’50s she met John Berticelli and together they raised four children. He passed on March 25, 1968.
She is survived by daughters, Marcella Berticelli of Charlton, Mass., and Gina Berticelli Dent of Spring Hill, Fla.; son, Ralph Berticelli of Newcastle; sister, Anita (Harry) Green of Wiscasset; granddaughter, Kimberly; plus several nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by daughter, Johna Jean Berticelli; and sisters, Helen Light Rollins, and Loraine Light Hooper.
Johna Jean Berticelli was born Nov. 6, 1962 in Hartford, Conn., to John and Joanna (Light) Berticelli. She is survived by sisters, Marcella, and Gina; brother, Ralph Berticelli; aunt, Anita Light (Harry) Green; and several cousins.
She was educated in schools in South Windsor and Vernon, Conn.
She loved music and all animals. She enjoyed Wickham Park in East Hartford, Conn. and spent many hours at the mountain cabin at the park enjoying the flowers and nature in quiet surroundings. She was a peaceful young lady.
She passed on July 16, 1996.
