Joanne M. Cooney, 86, of Longmeadow, Mass., died July 26 at the Julian J. Leavitt Family Jewish Nursing Home, Longmeadow, Mass.
She was born in Rochester, N.Y., and was the wife of the late James S. Cooney.
Mrs. Cooney has lived in Longmeadow, Mass. for six years coming from Attleboro, Mass. where she lived for over 50 years.
She was a member of the All Saints Episcopal Church, where she was active with the Altar guild.
She was a member of the Highland Country Club, and enjoyed being a homemaker and spending time with her family.
She is survived by a son, Peter Cooney of Longmeadow, Mass.; daughter, Katherine Skelton of Baltimore, Md.; and grandchildren, Jonathan M. Cooney, Lisa A. Foster, Christopher Skelton, and Kimberly Skelton.
Funeral service 11 a.m., Fri., Aug. 1 in the All Saints Episcopal Church, 120 North Main St., Attleboro, Mass. Burial in Brookland Cemetery, Waldoboro at a later date. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours and flowers are omitted.
