Joanne (Jody) Morison, 74, passed away on Aug. 11 after a brief illness. She had recently moved to West Lebanon, N.H., but previously spent many of her happiest years living in Wiscasset and prior to that, Boothbay Harbor. She and her husband enjoyed sailing the Maine coast waters.
Daughter of Joseph and Doris (Wells) Rell and sister (predeceased) of Irma Jean Wright, Jody was born and educated in Concord, N.H. She worked many years as a secretary and then as a realtor. She was a member of the National Association of Realtors and Eastern Star. Her favorite charities were The Humane Society and St. Jude s Children s Hospital.
Above and beyond anything else, Jody s highest priority was always to her family and dogs, to whom she was unconditionally devoted.
She leaves behind her husband, William K. Morison II of W. Lebanon, N.H.; daughter, Lee Hughes of Bethel; son, Buz Morison of Meriden, N.H.; grandson, Ken Carpenter of San Antonio, Tex.; granddaughters, Sage and Emily Morison of Meriden, N.H., and nephew Daniel Wright of Phoenix, Ariz.
Jody will be remembered as an avid reader, knitter, and great conversationalist.
Jody s ashes will be scattered at Dodge Point.
