Johnathan Howard Parker, 21, of St. George, died suddenly March 28 at his residence.
John was born in Rockport June 21, 1986, the son of Leroy Howard Parker and Teresa Wadsworth Parker, attended Waldoboro schools and in his senior year, transferred to Georges Valley High School in Thomaston, where he graduated in 2004.
A man who loved the outdoors, he lobstered out of Tenants Harbor, working on any boat that needed help, sometimes for free, so he could be on the water.
He also loved to hunt and fish, and was proud of his sister, whom he taught to hunt, as she got her first buck before he did. He also enjoyed playing video games with anyone who would play with him, especially his nieces and nephew, whom he adored as his own.
Some of John’s best times were spent with his best friend and brother, Leroy.
He is predeceased by his grandmothers, Sarah Parker and Sandra Ames.
Survivors include his father Leroy Parker Sr. and wife Karena of Waldoboro; mother, Teresa Parker and companion Bertie Powell of St. George; brother, Leroy H. Parker Jr.; sister, Bridget Parker and fiancé Lyle Morris, all of St. George; step sisters, Desiree’ Reed and Kaylee Reed, both of Waldoboro; grandfather, Howard Parker of Waldoboro; step-grandparents, June and Philip Morris of St. George; nephew, Garrett Morris; two nieces, Ahlivia Morris and Kayla Morris, all of St. George; uncles, Dickie and Robin Wadsworth, and George and Pam Parker, and aunt Mary and Clint Collamore.
Visiting hours 6-8 p.m., Tues., April 1 at the Hall Funeral Home, 949 Main St. Waldoboro. Celebration of John’s life at 2 p.m., Wed., April 2, with Rev. Robert Dorr officiating. Interment will be in Rural Cemetery, Waldoboro.
