Jonathan K. Bailey, 73, of New Bern, N.C, formerly of Kensington, N.H. and Damariscotta, passed from complications due to lung cancer on Sept. 17.
Jon was a Lieutenant in the U. S. Navy Reserve, specializing in aviation. He was semi-retired for several years after running a “tourist trap” in Maine, and “flipping houses.” Jonathan loved driving horses, cabinet making and owning boats.
He was predeceased by his wife of 39 years, Diana; son, Mark Bailey; and daughter, Sally Anne Hunter.
He is survived by his brothers, David C. Bailey, Jr. (Connie) and Edwin “Ted” Bailey (Terry) of Amesbury, Mass.; son-in-law, Paul Hunter of John’s Creek, Ga.; and grandchildren, Megan, Samantha, Benjamin and Anna of John’s Creek, Ga.
His ashes will be interred alongside Diana and Mark at a future time and date to be arranged by the family.
