Joseph Arnold Caron, 73, of Waldoboro, died March 18 at his home with his loving family by his side.
He was born Jan. 3, 1938 in Wallagras, a son of the late Gerard and Julienne (Ouellette) Caron.
On Sept. 5, 1956, he married the former Mildred Michaud in Fort Kent.
Mr. Caron attended schools in Fort Kent and was employed many years as a truck driver and heavy equipment operator for various companies and various towns. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and St. Paul’s Chapel Society. Mr. Caron enjoyed fishing, gardening, hiking…most outdoor activities and loved making puzzles.
He is preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Caron-Harney.
In addition to his loving wife of more than 54 years of Waldoboro, Mr. Caron is survived by daughter, Jill Caron-Boyle and husband Keith of Corbett, Ore.; and grandchildren, Kaycee, Sadie, Ashley, Harrison and Haddon Boyle, all of Corbett, Ore.
Services for Mr. Caron will be held at the convenience of his family.
Arrangements are under the direction of Smeltzer Family Cremation and Funeral Service, Waldoboro.
