Joseph Trentin, 80, of Newcastle and Glen Cove, N.Y., died on May 15. Joseph proudly served for three years in the U.S. Army in the Korean Conflict. He worked for 30 years in the film industry and was listed as a research person for the National Archives in Washington, D.C., where he restored many valuable old films.
He was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Thomas Barbano.
He is survived by his wife Marcia; children, Valerie, Mark and wife Diane, Lydia Petersen and husband Carl, Jean Olson and husband Scott and Lawrence and wife Mary; sisters, Emilie Waterman and husband Thomas, and Lorraine Barbano; grandchildren, Hilary Giancarlo, Gianfranco, Anne, Mickaela, Nicholas, Caroline, Abigail, Brittani, Caitlin and Theodore; and nieces and nephews.
Graveside service 11 a.m., Fri., June 26 at St. Patrick’s Church, Newcastle.
