Josephine G. Johnson, 92, of Wiscasset, passed away on Nov. 11 at a Brunswick hospital.
She was born in Kingman on June 9, 1915, a daughter of Brice and Bertha (Hanson) Sutter. She attended Wiscasset schools and in 1933 she married Forrest C. Johnson.
She was a member of the Wiscasset Senior Citizens and the First Congregational Church of Wiscasset where she was involved in the organ society.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, wintering in Florida with her husband, knitting, and sewing.
She was predeceased by her husband, Forrest C. Johnson in 1999; and son, William Johnson in 1967.
She is survived by one daughter, Joan B. Reed and husband Cecil of Wiscasset; son, Stanley W. Johnson and wife Betty of Wiscasset; brothers, James Sutter and wife Jean of Wiscasset and John Sutter and wife Charlotte of Woolwich; sister, Eleanor Leslie and husband L. Dean of Akron, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside Service 11 a.m., Sat., Nov. 17 at Greenlawn Cemetery, Wiscasset with Rev. John Potter officiating.
