Joyce C. Ward, 74, of Greenville, S.C., died on May 29 with her loving family by her side. She was born in New Britain, Conn. on March 16, 1938 to George and Wanda Wuchert.
Joyce worked as a legal secretary, a sales agent and for many years, in Damariscotta, with In-Home Senior Services helping enhance the lives of older members in her community. She will be remembered by her family and friends as a caring, compassionate wife, mother and friend. Joyce always had a ready smile and warm welcome for all.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Ronald A. Ward Sr. of Greenville, S.C.: children and their spouses, Ronald and Lori Ward of Homer, Alas., Sara and Toby Shannon of Damariscotta, Christopher and Sandra Ward of Gorham, and Amy and James Dunn of Greenville, S.C.; eight grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
