Joyce H. Coleman, 83, of Corinth, wife of Robert Coleman, died April 8 at her residence after a short illness.
She was born June 23, 1929 at Orrs Island, the daughter of Claude and Barbara (Stilphen) Crocker. Joyce worked many years as an Independent Insurance Agent in New York and Massachusetts and also worked as a nursing technician. She was a member of the East Corinth United Methodist Church and loved cooking, gardening and playing Scrabble.
Surviving besides her husband of Corinth are a daughter, Jo Anne Spear of Astoria, Ore.; sons, Claude Elliott and wife Gloria of Harpswell, and Harold Elliott and wife Nancy of New Hampton, N.H.; grandchildren, Claude Elliott Jr. of Bristol, Luke Elliott of New York City, and Robyn Spear of Astoria, Ore.; sisters, Myrtle Hanna and husband George of Round Pond, and Claudia Hatch and husband Fred of New Harbor; many nieces and nephews; special friend, Donna Campbell and family; and many other dear friends.
Memorial service April 15 at the Corinth United Methodist Church with Rev. James Proctor officiating. Friends were invited to visit with the family. Following the service, a luncheon was held at the Church Annex and all were invited to join the family for a time of reflection and celebration.
The family requests that those who wish make donations to the Corinth United Methodist Church in lieu of flowers.
