Judith M. Leonard, 71, of Wiscasset, died Nov. 14 at LincolnHealth – Miles Campus in Damariscotta.
She was born in Tarrytown, N.Y. on March 26, 1944, a daughter of Arthur L. and Madeline N. (DiNapoli) Mettey.
She graduated from Burr & Burton Seminary in Manchester, Vt. and attended art school in New York. On Oct. 31, 1964 she married Robert J. Leonard in Manchester, Vt. She was self-employed with her husband at Ould Colony Artisans. In 2000 they moved to Farmington and in 2014 they moved to Wiscasset.
She enjoyed skiing, hiking and was an accomplished artist and painter.
She was a member of St. Gregory’s Parish at the Cathedral in Portland.
She was predeceased by her brother, Dennis Mettey.
She is survived by her husband, Robert J. Leonard of Wiscasset; daughter, Rebecca J. Leonard of Providence, R.I.; sister, Lynnette Mettey of Santa Monica, Cal.; half-sisters, Gale Mettey of Readfield, and Catherine Mettey of Wilton; grandchildren, Catherine McNeil and Brenhin Vaughn, both of Providence, R.I.; and many nieces and nephews.
Burial will be at April Hill Cemetery in Dorset, Vt.
