June W. Burns, 92, of Bremen, died Sept. 5 at her home.
She was born June 19, 1918 in Waldoboro, a daughter of Fernando Webber and Alice (Groton) Webber. June graduated from Lincoln Academy in 1935 and attended classes at Burdett College in Lynn, Mass.
June married Howard Burns on June 25, 1938 and moved to Beverly, Mass. where she raised her family while being employed by the Beverly National Bank. In 1973 she returned to Bremen and continued her banking career with The First National Bank of Damariscotta before retiring in 1984. June was an active member of the Muscongus Community Club and enjoyed sewing, bridge, cooking and family.
June was predeceased by her husband Howard; and sisters, Martha McFarland, Lois Ramstrom and Adeline McLaughlin.
Surviving are children, Cynthia Terry of Beverly, Mass. and Russell Burns of Bremen; sisters, Celia Mohr of Bremen and Ida Humphrey of South Bristol; brother, Nelson Webber of Bremen; as well as five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
There will be no public visiting hours. Celebration of June’s life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Responders Group of Bremen, or any hospice organization.
