Former resident, Kaye Hollis Moody, M.D., of Martha’s Vineyard, died July 23 at his home. He was born in Los Angeles, Cal., on April 24, 1932.
He attended Franklin Grammar School and Lincoln Academy in Newcastle. In his teenage years, he and his sister lived with his aunt and cousin of Kennebunk. He was a high honor student, graduating from Kennebunk High School, Class of 1950. He went on to Northeastern University and Tufts Medical School.
His internship and residency in anesthesiology were at St. Elizabeth’s in Brighton, Mass. He worked as an anesthesiologist at Leonard Morse Hospital in Natick, Mass. He later went on to work at Martha’s Vineyard Hospital.
He enjoyed motorcycles as a hobby. He was a member of the Harley Riders at one time.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edna and Jesse Moody.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Maria Shea Moody of Martha’s Vineyard; son, Herbert of Martha’s Vineyard; sister, Jessie Leach of Kennebunk; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
