Kenneth “KC” Clayton Carter, 16, of Waldoboro, died Sept. 19 at Maine Medical Center in Portland, from injuries sustained in an ATV accident, Sept. 18.
Born in Rockport, Feb. 11, 1992, he was the son of Donald S. and Judith Totman Carter.
KC attended local schools.
KC’s ultimate goal was to become a U.S. Marine. Whenever he watched TV, he always watched military movies or the military history channel. He was always interested in anything to do with the military and was passionate about helping military families.
He also loved watching motorcycle programs and particularly enjoyed riding his four-wheeler.
KC’s mother said that he enjoyed a variety of music and “Loved to sleep until noon.”
Other than his devotion to his pets, a chocolate lab “Kizzy” and a Ball Python “Fallujah”; KC was a loving uncle to his many nieces and nephews, and enjoyed a lifelong friendship with Caleb Tainter of Waldoboro.
Pre-deceased by his father, KC is survived by his mother of Waldoboro; his paternal grandmother, Ruth Low of Rockland; his brothers and sisters, Jason Williams of Massachusetts, Daniel Williams and companion Karen Towers of Waldoboro, Chad Wales and companion Olivia Gamage of Rockland, Scott Sukeforth and wife Cindy of Florida, Stephen Sukeforth and companion Heidi Small of Camden, James Grady of Jefferson, Pamela Heal and husband Alan, and Deborah Richards, all of Rockland; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Memorial service 11 a.m., Sat., Sept. 27, at Littlefield Memorial Baptist Church, One Waldo Ave., Rockland. A reception will follow at the church. The Reverend Branan Becknell will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to any program assisting Maine Military Families or to the Humane Society of Knox County, P.O. Box 1294, Rockland, ME 04841.
