Kenneth L. Chipman III, 57, died unexpectedly on May 1 in an automobile accident. He was born Oct. 13, 1959 in Rockland to Kenneth L. Chipman Jr. and Fern Louise (Blake) Chipman.
Ken attended and graduated from Rockland High School. He was employed in the fishing industry at O’Hara’s catching pogies and cooking on the boat. He also worked processing scallops.
He was a number one Patriots’ fan, also a fan of the Celtics, Red Sox and the Bruins. He loved watching old movies, especially The Three Stooges and John Wayne westerns. His love of music included the Beatles and old rock and roll.
He is predeceased by his parents, Kenneth L. Chipman Jr. and Fern (Blake) Chipman; and brother, Douglas Nash of Bath, N.H.
Ken is survived by his loving girlfriend of 23 years, Sue M. Chipman of Warren; daughter, Chelsey Chipman James of Sebastian, Fla.; son, Nathaniel Massicotte of Thomaston; sisters, Carol Deane of Friendship, Barbara Coffin of Rockland, and Becky Nash of Rockland; brothers, Maynard Nash of Kenduskeag, Richard L. Chipman of Union, Scott Chipman of Rockland, and Carl Chipman of Thomaston; grandsons, Darren James and Carter James; granddaughter, Allison Willoughby of Sebastian, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews.
