Kristine D. (Tassinari) Tracy passed away unexpectedly on May 13, 2024 at Maine Medical Center after a period of declining health. Krissy was born Nov. 12, 1980 in Fitchburg, Mass. to Richard and Pamela Tassinari. Raised in Jefferson, she was a 1999 graduate of Erskine Academy. During high school she proved to be a talented athlete, setting a school record in shot put her freshman year and breaking that record her senior year. Throughout high school she consistently placed among the top finalists in shot put at state indoor and outdoor track championships.
While still in high school she started her career as a first responder, eventually completing her paramedic training at Kennebec Valley Community College. Over the years she worked for many departments and ambulance services, including the Jefferson Volunteer Fire Department, Central Lincoln County Ambulance, Delta Ambulance, Med-Care, Monmouth Rescue, AMR, Wiscasset Ambulance, and most recently, the Edgecomb Fire Department. She was passionate about her work, once telling her mom that she liked holding people together until they could get to a hospital.
From an early age, Kris made lifelong friends everywhere she went. She had a smile for everyone and was always ready with a joke or a sarcastic comment to make you laugh. With her slightly off-color sense of humor, she was unapologetically herself. She was also a friend when you needed someone to talk to, a mentor to some, and always up for any kind of shenanigans.
Krissy’s proudest accomplishment of all was being a mom to her two children, Aidan Tracy and Maddison Abbott. Everyone knows she loved them both to the moon and back. Her love for them was unconditional and beyond measure, and they loved her just as much.
In addition to her children, Kris is survived by her fiance, Roland Abbott, of Edgecomb; parents, Richard and Pamela Tassinari; sister, Jessika Baker and husband, David; sister, Alicia Tassinari, all of Jefferson; brother, Nicholas Tassinari and wife, Katie, of Farmingdale; brother, Anthony Tassinari and partner, Emily Kinnie, of Vassalboro; nephews, Zachary and Matthew Baker, Landon Tassinari; and nieces, Lily, Sarah, and Julia Tassinari. She will also be greatly missed by Roland’s children, Heather, Jamie, Mandy, and Sebastian; and by her best friend and “unbiological sister,” Tracey Smith.
A celebration of life will be held on June 8, 2024 at 11 a.m. at the Wiscasset Community Center.
