Kyle Joseph Goulette died on Nov. 22 in a car crash.
He was a kind, funny, and loving young man, gentle with children and pets and loved by many.
Kyle was an apprentice carpenter in the family business, looking forward to becoming a boat builder. In his spare time you would find him cruising through the waves in the vintage Aquafleet that he had restored. He had many adventures on the water, boating and fishing with his friends and family. Kyle’s other passion was vehicles: trucks and vintage cars. His latest project was rebuilding a 1978 Impala. You could also find Kyle on the “power lines”, at truck mud-runs or burn-out contests. His favorites were the big, powerful, loud trucks with fat tires.
This summer he had become an avid disc golfer, but his favorite times were sitting around a bonfire talking, laughing and listening to music with his many friends.
Kyle was predeceased by his mother, Claudia Blackman Benner of Wiscasset.
He is survived by his father and wife, Mr. and Mrs. René J. Goulette of South Bristol; sisters, Renée J. Cole and Mindy Correll; brother, Brock Couillard; niece, Arianna Couillard; grandparents, Betty Goulette of Southport and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Leavitt of Topsham. Kyle leaves behind a large extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins as well as many loving friends. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
