Laura S. Kirkpatrick, 83, passed away on June 5 at her home in Union, surrounded by her loving family.
Born June 27, 1923 in Union, Laura was the daughter of Everett and Reta Butler Storer.
She graduated from Union High School, class of 1940.
She married Stephen Kirkpatrick on May 8, 1944 and together they had four children.
In her early years, she drove for the U.S. Mail, was a cook for the Union school system, worked many years at Sylvania, and worked as a pastry cook at Eastside and Come Spring Restaurant.
She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, the Union Fire Department Auxiliary, and she helped her husband with the family farm.
She was predeceased by her loving husband of 60 years, Stephen Kirkpatrick, in 2004.
Laura is survived by her four children, Gail Whittier of Union, Gary Kirkpatrick of Augusta, Richard Kirkpatrick of Union, and Jada Beardsley of Union; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Graveside service 2 p.m., Sun., June 10 at Lakeview Cemetery in Union.
