Leonette Richardson, 94, of Manchester Twp., N.J., passed away Jan. 22.
Leonette was born in Manhattan, N.Y. and spent her early years living in Brooklyn, N.Y. with her mother, father and two sisters.
Leonette met Albert J. Richardson of Closter, N.J. while they were both working in the entertainment business. They were married on Dec. 22, 1940. They settled in as husband and wife living in Closter, N.J., had four children, Charles, Albert, Leonette (Gigi), and Mary Gail. The Richardson family spent their summers in Jefferson and enjoyed a happy life.
In the late 1980s Leonette and her husband moved to Wayne, N.J., and lived there until after Albert passed away in February 1998. Leonette then moved to Lakewood, N.J. in 1999 and most recently lived in Toms River, N.J.
Leonette is survived by her loving children and their spouses; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Leonette requested a direct cremation service and no viewing. A memorial mass and graveside service will be held at a later date in Whitefield/Jefferson.
