Leroy Howard Parker Sr., 44, of Waldoboro, passed away unexpectedly Jan. 18 at his home in Waldoboro.
He was born Dec. 1, 1965 in Rockland, a son of Howard and Sarah Parker.
Leroy grew up in Waldoboro and attended local schools.
He owned and operated Riverside Builders in Waldoboro. He worked at BIW for seven years, many of which he was a lead man. He also enjoyed lobstering with his father-in-law, Keith Simmons.
Leroy enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening as well as other outdoor activities. He was very proud of the 8 point 246 lb. deer he shot. He had a passion for woodworking. He was creative and with his artistic abilities, he made one-of-a kind coffee tables and many other one-of-a-kind items. He would use his wood burning skills to create beautiful designs on tabletops, cabinets and various other projects. He also enjoyed building clam hods and birdhouses.
Leroy had three children whom he absolutely adored, he also had two stepchildren whom he considered as his own, in fact he was so close with Kaylee she called him Daddy Roy.
One of his favorite things to do was spend time with his dog Allee, his pride and joy, his confidant and his best friend.
He was predeceased by his son, Johnathan H. Parker, and mother, Sarah Hoch Parker.
Survivors include his wife Karena Parker of Waldoboro; son, Leroy H. Parker Jr. of St. George; daughter, Bridget Parker and her fiancé, Lyle Morris of St. George; stepchildren, Desiree Reed of Waldoboro, and Kaylee Reed of Waldoboro; grandchildren, Ahlivia Morris of St. George, and Garrett Prior of St. George; sister, Mary Collamore and husband Clint of Waldoboro; brother, George Parker and wife Pam of Fairfield; father, Howard Parker of Waldoboro; niece, Katie Collamore of Waldoboro; nephew, C.J. Collamore of Warren; and his dog, Allee.
Celebration of his life 1 p.m., Mon., Jan. 25 at Hall Funeral Home.
