Lester E. Williams, 59, of Bath, died on July 15 at Maine Medical Center in Portland.
He was born in Bath on Jan. 2, 1952, the son of Edward and Ruby Williams.
As a child Lester liked to go to firemen musters.
He liked playing Bingo and Cribbage. He loved spending time with family and friends, going camping, cooking, going to local fairs and local races, and he loved watching NASCAR. He also enjoyed going to eat at Marios and Maxwells.
He was a hard worker.
His work includes working for his father on the garbage truck and driving a dump truck for Crookers for 17 years. Before that he drove a truck for Billy Whorf for 21 years, and he worked for Ed Skillin five years.
Lester had family in Lincoln County.
Lester was predeceased by his parents, sister Grace Williams, brother Edward Williams Jr., sister-in-law Carol Talbot, and brother-in-law Joseph MacMahan.
He is survived by his children, Arthur and wife Katrina Williams, Lester and girlfriend Kathy Brown, Sherry Scott and boyfriend Erin Begay, and Lisa Williams and boyfriend Jeff Davis; 12 grandchildren; brothers, Stephan Talbot, and Charlie and wife Mary Williams; sisters, Barbara and husband Jack Page, Norma MacMahan, Patty Williams, and Sharon and husband Jim Jaynes; and many nieces and nephews.
Celebration of life 2 p.m., Sun., Aug. 7 at the Sportsmens Club in Phippsburg.
