Linda L. Hodgkins, 64, of Phippsburg, died May 29 at a midcoast hospital.
She was born in Damariscotta on Sept. 13, 1944, a daughter of Raymond C. and June (Vinal) Gudroe.
She attended Wiscasset schools and graduated from Wiscasset Academy in 1963. A week after graduation she was employed at Bath Memorial Hospital in the lab as a technician until its merger with Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick where she was currently employed. On Oct. 7, 1962 she married Kenneth A. Hodgkins.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren, gardening, cooking, basket making and traveling.
She was predeceased by twins, Saul Hodgkins and Marih Hodgkins in 1965 and one nephew, Jon-Michael Alan Rice on Aug. 20, 2002.
She is survived by her mother, June Gudroe of Wiscasset; husband, Kenneth A. Hodgkins of Phippsburg; son, Duane E. Hodgkins of Jefferson; two daughters, Julie M. Hodgkins of Bath and Shelley S. Whitcomb and husband John of Bowdoin; brother, Michael A. Gudroe and wife Christine of Roy, Wash.; three sisters, Bonnie M. Thibeault and husband Irene of Topsham, Christine D. Rice and husband Raymond of Orlando, Fla. and Donna J. McLaughlin and husband Michael of Davenport, Fla.; five grandchildren, Kenneth N. Hodgkins, Cindra L. Goodwin, Maxwell A. Hodgkins, Cori L. Mullins and Brittany E. Hodgkins; and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., Tues., June 2 at Daigle Funeral Home, 819 High St., Bath. Memorial service 2 p.m., Wed., June 3 at the First Congregational Church Wiscasset UCC in Wiscasset with Rev. John Potter officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Wiscasset for family. Gathering of family and friends will follow at the church fellowship hall.
