Linda Maria Willis, 74, of Waldoboro, passed away peacefully Nov. 30 at the Sussman House in Rockport, following a long battle with cancer.
Linda was born Dec. 9, 1943 in Nashua, N.H., the daughter of Charles and Anna (Staiti) Morrill.
She graduated from Nashua High School, continuing her nursing education in Massachusetts where she worked for many years in the nursing field. Linda met and married Charles Willis II and they chose to make their home in Waldoboro.
Linda was an avid fan of the New England Patriots and in her earlier years a Giants’ fan.
Linda was predeceased by her husband, Charles; and son, Charles “Chipper” Willis III on April 9, 1990.
She is survived by son, James “Jamie” and companion Michele; brothers, Harvey Morrill, and Michael Morrill and wife Mae; grandchildren of whom she was very proud, Amber, Jake, Jolea, Dana, Kaitlynn, Ronnie, Andrew, Catherine, Brianna, Shawn, Devon, Taylor, and Casey; great-grandchildren, Gavyn, Haiden, Asher, Lukas, Annebelle, Lilly, Drew, Noah, Tucker, Cassie, and Kolie; several nieces and nephews; and special people she thought of as her own, Chris Reynolds and Kevin and Lynn Sproul.
A gathering of friends and family will be held from 6-8 p.m., Wed., Dec. 5 at Hall Funeral Home, 949 Main St., Waldoboro. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
