Linda Passmore Goodridge Disch, 63, of Nobleboro, died Feb. 2 at Pen Bay Medical Center in Rockport after a long illness.
Mrs. Disch was born Sept. 6, 1945 in Portland. She is the daughter of the late Clarence Kimball and Alyce Brosseau Passmore and is a graduate of Camden High School, class of 1963, where she was voted “Most Secretly Admired” and “Prettiest Smile” by her classmates. Linda then attended the Katherine Gibbs School in Boston, Mass.
She was employed by the law firm of Howard & Bowie as a legal secretary for the past 20 years.
Spending time with her grandchildren was her most enjoyable pastime, along with tending her gardens, and reading a book in the sunshine while sitting among her flowers. When she wasn’t tending her garden, she was knitting baby blankets for friends, relatives, and local hospitals.
Linda was predeceased by her son, Charles Kimball Goodridge, who died in 1989, and her first husband, Stephen A. Goodridge, who died in 1998.
Survivors include her daughter, Jill Goodridge and husband John Bowden of Rockland; four grandchildren, Alyce Goodridge, Zoe Goodridge, Stephen Goodridge, and Tyler Bowden, all of Rockland; and Jill’s half-brother, Ben Goodridge, and half-sister, Abby Goodridge, both of the mid-coast area, along with many close friends.
A spring graveside service will be held and announced by Hall & Bibber Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Should friends desire, memorial donations may be made to your local animal shelter in Linda Disch’s name.
