Loren Francis St. Cyr, 20, of Jefferson, passed away Sept. 21 from injuries sustained in an accident.
Loren was born Aug. 31, 1988 in Damariscotta, a son of Marshall and Sheila Gallant St. Cyr.
He grew up in Newcastle and was a graduate of Great Salt Bay Grammar School in Damariscotta and a graduate of Lincoln Academy, Class of 2007.
He attended the Yamaha Outboard Mechanic School.
In the second grade, Loren began his career as a wrestler. He was second in the Class B State Championship in 2007 and won several tournaments. He was a lacrosse player at Lincoln as a star-midi. He was known for being tough on the equipment.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed archery.
He was a mechanic at the Boothbay Region Boatyard where he began working five years ago.
Loren was a friend to everyone and his family’s home was always open to his many friends.
He is remembered by his many friends as one of the “nicest people they have ever known”.
Survivors include his parents, Marshall and Sheila St. Cyr of Newcastle; brother, Shawn St. Cyr and wife Jennifer of Jefferson; sister, Nicole St. Cyr and companion David Beal of Jefferson; fiancée, Kristi Pearse of Jefferson; dog, Jazz; nieces, Abigail and Allison St. Cyr of Jefferson; nephew, Adam St. Cyr of Jefferson; many aunts, uncles and cousins and life-long friend considered as a brother, Max Vinal of Edgecomb.
Celebration of Loren’s life 4 p.m., Thurs., Sept. 25 at Lincoln Academy in Newcastle.
