Lori Munroe, 56, passed away at home on the morning of Dec. 18 after a long illness. Lori was born on Oct. 13, 1962 in Boothbay Harbor, to Rebecca Parsons and Mark E. Munroe.
She grew up in Damariscotta and was a graduate of Lincoln Academy in Newcastle. She was an excellent cook, working at local restaurants over the years. She enjoyed cribbage and loved living and spending time on the water.
Lori was predeceased by grandparents, Dr. Neil and Joyce Parsons; father, Mark E. Munroe; and brother, Mark S. Munroe.
She leaves behind daughter, Neila Cole of Newcastle; son, George Cole and granddaughter Ryleigh of Livermore Falls; mother, Rebecca Parsons and Richard Guislin of Damariscotta; nephew, Westleigh Munroe of Whitefield; several aunts, uncles, cousins; and her much loved, faithful canine companion, Odie.
In lieu of flowers, Lori would have been very touched by donations in her memory to either Midcoast Humane (formerly Lincoln County Animal Shelter), 190 Pleasant St., Brunswick, ME 04011.; or the American Cancer Society, 1 Bowdoin Mill Island, Suite 300, Topsham, ME 04086.
A celebration of Lori’s life will be announced and held at a later date.
