Louisa M. Gould, 87, of Waldoboro, passed away Dec. 26 at her home.
She was born Sept. 13, 1920, in Portage Lake, a daughter of Moses A. McNally and Carrie Gallop McNally. She grew up in Portage Lake and graduated from Presque Isle High School; she also attended business college in Bangor.
During WWII she worked at the Waldoboro Button Factory, Roland Genthner’s and the Waldoboro Press. She moved to Waldoboro in 1945. She was head teller at Depositor’s Trust and Key Bank for over 30 years. She also was a bookkeeper for several local businesses and individuals.
She was an avid reader. She really enjoyed doing her yard work, mowing her lawn, vacuuming, cooking meals, and caring for her family. She took care of her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchild, Chloe.
She was predeceased by her husband, Leo Gould.
She is survived by a daughter, Bobbi Swiderek of Waldoboro; stepson, Leo Gould of Whitefield; brothers, Fred McNally of Waldoboro and Willard McNally of New Hampshire; sisters, Ada Howes of Randolph, Ann Olson of Big Lake, Alas., Edna McLain of Waldoboro, Betty Poland of Bremen, and Sandra Smith of So. Gardiner; grandchildren, Heidi Swiderek of Nobleboro and Dwight Swiderek of So. Portland; great grandchildren, Lindsay Harvey of Waldoboro, Tawnya Bradley of Nobleboro and Marcus Swiderek of So. Portland; great-great-granddaughter, Chloe Harvey of Waldoboro; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation 12-2 p.m., Sun., Dec. 30, followed by the funeral at Hall Funeral Home, 949 Main St., Waldoboro. Burial will be in Brookland Cemetery, Waldoboro.
