Lucille B. Rollins, 91, of Farmingdale, died Sept. 3 at MaineGeneral Medical Center, Augusta Campus, following a long illness. She was born in North Whitefield on March 27, 1920, a daughter of the late Peter and Bessy (Brann) Callahan.
Mrs. Rollins was a graduate of Cony High School, class of 1939 and had been a housekeeper for others for most of her life. She had also been employed for several years at Sierra Development Center in Sparks, Nev. and Cony Street Manor in Augusta.
She was predeceased by her brothers, Raymond and Robert Callahan and Neil and Richard Glidden; and beloved dog, Gonzie.
Mrs. Rollins is survived by her son, Gary Callahan and wife Jacquelyne of Windsor; sister, Geraldine Hibbert of Augusta; grandchild, Kathlene McGhee and husband Gregeory, and their daughter, Katherine, all of Fredericksburg, Va.; grandson, David Callahan and wife Jinhee and their son, Nathan, all of Scottsdale, Ariz.; niece, Julie Wentzell of Gardiner, who was very special to Lucille; and niece, Laura Colomb and husband Owen of Alna, with whom she lived for many years; several other nieces, nephews and cousins; and Terry Dwyer, a special friend, of Island Falls.
At her request, there will be no public visiting hours. Following cremation, a graveside service will be 11 a.m., Sat., Sept. 10 in Sandhill Cemetery, Sandhill Rd., Somerville.
