Lucine D. Paul, 85, of New Port Richey, Fla., and Beaver Harbour, New Brunswick, died on May 16, at Chase Point Assisted Living in Damariscotta, surrounded by her family.
Lu was born on Nov. 24, 1924, in Clarence Ridge, New Brunswick, the daughter of the late Edgar Dawson and Christine (Smith) Dawson. Lu served in the Canadian Women’s Army Corps during WWII. Upon discharge, she worked in various jobs in Blacks Harbour, New Brunswick, where she met and married her husband of 64 years, Kenneth L. Paul, who died on March 11.
Lucine was predeceased by her sisters, Eudora, Villa, Inez, and her brother Lyndsay.
Lucine is survived by daughter, Valerie Paul and her sons, Nathan and Paul; daughter, Heather Caldwell and her sons, Ryan and Dylan; and daughter, Jennifer Paul and her sons Kyle and Nick.
Funeral services 2 p.m., Sun., May 30, at Christ Church – Anglican in Pennfield, New Brunswick. Friends are invited to gather after the service at Ken and Lu’s family home in Beaver Harbour.
